Here are a few things that you can expect from the new Chrome 55.
Web Bluetooth – provides users with access to nearby devices interacting with Chrome browsers in order to deliver content and advertising from businesses existing in the surroundings.
WebVR – with lots of emerging consumer markets, many initiatives have been made to create a realistic, but cost-effective VR technology. Thus, Chromium project has been on the move to provide Web-based VR to the Chrome browser.
Performance Enhancements – the upgrade made to Chrome will significantly reduce RAM consumption by 50%, mainly for Android and PC users. Likewise, it will also aim to restrict background pages to 1% of CPU usage.
Android Apps – it has been expected that the Google Play Store will begin to roll out the version 54 and 55, as Android Apps are coming to Chrome.
Other Features – several features are expected to come, including the resizing of images, voice input, quick emojis and handwriting input.
Chrome 55 takes the larger and more user-facing step of defaulting to HTML5. Sites that only support Flash are exempted, as are the top 10 sites on the web for a year:
YouTube.com, Facebook.com, Yahoo.com, VK.com, Live.com, Yandex.ru, OK.ru, Twitch.tv, Amazon.com, and Mail.ru.
